Dr. Frank Cunningham, MD

Dr. Frank Cunningham is the founder and owner of Bonaventure Medical, a clinic he established in 2002. He practiced family medicine in Calgary for over 30 years before retiring in 2025. Dr. Cunningham continues to serve as the Medical Director of Bonaventure Medical and is involved in the day-to-day operation of the clinic.

Dr. Jedidiah Chibuchi Nwafor, MBBS, MRCGP, LMCC, CCFP

Dr. Nwafor is a family physician with over 12 years of clinical experience. He obtained his medical degree in Nigeria in 2013 before moving to the UK, where he worked in surgery before a GP residency encompassing Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Psychiatry, and General Practice.

He has since worked across routine and urgent care settings, taking on leadership roles and actively mentoring trainees. Dr. Nwafor is known for his thorough, compassionate approach and his belief that every patient should feel heard and involved in their own care.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys sports, nature, and travelling.

Dr. Om Sam, MD, CCFP, ABFM

Dr. Om Sam is a Canadian and American board-certified Family Physician with advanced training in procedural medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency in New York before practicing comprehensive rural medicine in an underserved community in Missouri, where he gained extensive experience managing a broad spectrum of medical conditions while performing a wide range of office-based procedures.

Dr. Sam has a particular interest in musculoskeletal medicine, procedural care, and skin cancer detection. He has pursued additional training in landmark-guided musculoskeletal injections and has also received training in ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections, with plans to incorporate these services as ultrasound capabilities become available. His procedural practice also includes dermatologic surgery, including skin biopsies, excisions, and the assessment and management of suspicious and benign skin lesions.

Dr. Sam is fluent in English and Cantonese, allowing him to provide care to a diverse patient population in their preferred language.

Committed to improving timely access to procedural care, Dr. Sam is currently accepting referrals for musculoskeletal procedures, skin cancer assessments, and minor surgical procedures.

Mr. Eric Hopson, NP

Eric is an all-ages family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on holistic wellness, comprehensive management of chronic diseases, and health promotion. He has over a decade of experience providing care for patients in hospital and in their communities, with an extensive background in mental health care. Eric is committed to providing inclusive patient and family-centred primary care. Outside of work, Eric enjoys exploring the world with his family and writing music.
